All of the women of 1st Lutheran Church belong
to the WELCA organization—the Women of the
Evangelical Lutheran Church of America. Each is
invited and encouraged to be an active member.
There are currently 5 circles within our church.
Each circle has a meeting each month which includes
a Bible Study. The circles are responsible
for serving funerals, Sunday morning coffee,
quilting, upkeep in the kitchen and making sure
supplies are on hand as needed. Anyone interested
in joining a circle can contact Phyllis Sethre @ 650-7170 or the church office @ 653-1333

“Give and it will be given to you,
For the measure you give will be the
measure you give back.”
As a community of women,
created in the image of God,
called to discipleship
in Jesus Christ, and
empowered by the Holy Spirit,
we commit ourselves to grow in faith,
affirm our gifts, support one another
in our callings, engage in ministry
and action, and promote healing
and wholeness in the church, the
society, and the world.
The women’s quilting group meets on the first
Monday and Tuesday of each month at 8:30 am
at the church.
Monday hours are 8:30 to 3:00
Tuesday hours are 8:30 to noon.
We welcome all who are interested in this project to come and join us. For more information contact Georgia Willoughby or Sandy Pipal, or contact the church office.
First Lutheran Quilters, Sandy Pipal, Georgie Willoughby, Agnes Heser, Marilynn Johnson, Karen Heser, Delores Nelson, Lucille Solheim, and Kathy Redekopp had a busy year quilting in 2015-16. The second week of May they sent 174 Quilts, 21 Baby kits, 21 School kits, and 4 blankets to Lutheran World Relief to be distributed where needed. They would like to give a special "Thank you!" to Jim Albertson, and Gary Johnson for helping with the boxing and also to Gary and Marilynn Johnson for hauling the boxes to Glendive.
